People
will be looking at your Web site because they want information.
They will want to find out about your services and/or products and
about you and your company. An attractive Web site designed with
good content can often be the deciding factor in whether or not
a prospective customer decides to use your business. It is important
to plan it well.
netDon
will consult with you to help make the most of your pages.
We
suggest you first take a few easy steps in planning your content:
Define
your message. What is the goal of your site? Who are your
customers?
Organize
your information into logical groups. A Web site can be just
one page, but it will look more professional if it has several
pages. You will want to have detailed information on your products
or services. You may wish to have a page introducing yourself
or your company personal. You may wish to have a page of Frequently
Asked Questions. It is best to keep the number of pages to no
more than five. These five can in turn be subdivided if necessary.
Plan
for graphic elements on your site.
Photographs and illustrations make more interesting web sites,
and should definitely be included in your plan. However they do
take time to load on the customer’s computer. Unless your business
requires many, such as a Realtor who wishes to show current listings,
it is best to keep them to a minimum.
Plan
for keeping your site up-to-date. netDon will help to maintain
your site to make necessary changes and updates. See our information
on Cost and Services.
